We are looking for someone who has strong digital media skills (including BookTok) and who is passionate about books/storytelling in the widest sense, to join our festival team, which is based in LiFTS at University of Essex, to help us promote this year’s special 25th Edition of Essex Book Festival (1st-30th June 2024).
Are you an energetic person with excellent communication skills and who is passionate about Books/Festivals/Essex? If so, we have a freelance, part-time opportunity for a Social Media Assistant to join our Essex Book Festival team between April and June 2024. 15 hours per week/£11.44 per hour.
Tasks include: –
- Dealing with all aspects of social media scheduling including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Linkedin, and BookTok
- Ensure social media content and output follows brand guidelines and brand tone of voice
- Work with the festival team to develop imaginative and eye-catching content across platforms, with key focus on creating engaging video content for BookTok and Instagram reels
- Collecting and managing User Generated Content for use on the website and social media channels, with an understanding of best practices in doing so
- Research influencers for content to grow the festival’s digital footprint
