The Essex Climate Action Commission is an independent body set up by Essex County Council to advise on how best to tackle the climate challenge and become a net zero emissions county.

Chelmsford Community Radio – Eco Podcasts

The Eco-Cast Podcast project started in 2020 as a partnership between Chelmsford Community Radio and Essex Book Festival.

Chelmer Valley High School – Fuels of the future

The brilliant STEAMinist group at Chelmser Valley High School are trying to find the ‘Fuel of the future’ and run a car on citric acid that is extracted from different fruits. They have been extracting fruit juice from various fruits and testing it with baking powder to see how much gas is produced from each fruit. They have also started designing and building the car from recycled materials. Well done to all involved for your creativity, teamwork, and scientific thinking!
