The Blink of the Future
by Aria Johnston
Holy Trinity C of E Primary School
I was skipping and playing around on a lovely bright day until *blink*
I blinked, my first mistake, as soon as my eyes flung open, everything was ink, dirty, dull and sad, smoke was everywhere, cars, bikes, scooters, houses! Many animals are laid on the floor, dead or dying, the sun blocked out by thick clouds of grey and green smoke. Confused I headed for a house but *blink* I went back to normal thinking it was just a dream. I went to sleep thinking I would just wake up normally but before I went to sleep I thought maybe.. Not it can’t be .. just maybe it’s me blinking into the future and back?? I fell asleep and woke up in the morning, ate breakfast, got ready for school and went outside Oops *blink* the world changed again, I named it Future world. When I forced a blink it didn’t work but when I naturally lined it worked. I told my friend but they didn’t believe me and they laughed. When I got home I mentioned it to my mum, she said it was nonsense and told me to stop lying. ONLY I COULD ONLY SEE IT THATS THE PROBLEM! I knew what I had to do, IHAD TO MAKE SURE THIS WAS NOT OUR FUTURE, I MUST FIX IT INDEPENDENTLY.
How to fix it!
G grab any litter of the floor
R run or walk not drive
E Eco food like paper wrappers not plastic
E Eco water and oceans to keep the animals alive
N Never leave any rubbish I see on the floor
W Wait for a bin to put my rubbish in
O Ocean animals could choke on litter
R Run smoke charged things less
L Leg exercise is better than car rides
D Do not ignore our warning!!
